Space-O AI spent 15 years building software across industries. We delivered 500+ projects for startups, enterprises, and Fortune 500 organizations across the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. That work taught us something we did not expect. The healthcare projects changed our company. Not because healthcare paid more. Because healthcare demanded more. **What we learned building healthcare software that no other industry taught us:** - We built HIPAA compliance into every sprint from day one. Adding it after development always cost 2-3x more. - We spent months navigating Epic, Cerner, and Allscripts credentialing processes because no two EHR vendors implement FHIR the same way - We started testing every prototype with practicing clinicians during design because three early platforms got abandoned when documentation took longer than the existing workflow Our developer teams responded to those demands better than they responded to anything else.
